About
Spencer Thielmann spent his childhood riding bikes and bothering his neighbors in the suburbs of New Jersey. Together with his partner Emily Berge, he has sold a screenplay, screened at the British Film Institute, and written a middle grade novel (with another on the way). Chasing stories has taken him to the top of a lighthouse in New York, under a waterfall in Thailand, and on the back of a camel in Morocco, and he’s learned that a camera is a very good excuse to talk to strangers. An honorary Iowan by marriage, Spencer believes that river swimming is the best kind of swimming, though any form of swimming will do on a hot summer day.
